This 2 hour event provides the basic training necessary to be a registered member of McHenry County ARES. It is required for RACES members. THIS EVENT HAS YET TO BE SCHEDULED AND IS A PLACE HOLDER TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT INTEREST TO RUN THE CLASS

ARRL Simulated Emergency Test
October 1, 20ll — This exercise is intended to stimulate Illinois ARES groups and members to exercise their back-up power source(s); to encourage all members to learn how to format and effectively communicate messages using both voice and digital radio circuits. Operations will be at the EOC in Woodstock.

Marengo Settlers Days Parade
October 9, 2011 — To provide communications support for parade organizers. Meeting will be in the parking lot behind the police station on the corner of Municipal Drive and N. Taylor Street. Check in at 12:30 PM. At assigned locations at 1 PM. Parade begins at 2 PM.
