New(to us) Repeater on the Air

We have added a new repeater to our site, adding capability on UHF. Here are the particulars: 444.075, +5MHz offset, 88.5 Hz. tone. It is co-located with our 2M system, but it is not currently linked to it in any way.

This system operates a bit differently from our 2M system. There is no courtesy beep (the tone between transmissions), there is not start up delay (just start talking), the hang time( the time the repeater continues to transmit after a user stop) is short, there are no voice IDs only CW. Note that is you program your radio to decode the PL tone on receive, you will not hear the CW ID.

More information will come along as we progress with integrating this machine into our operations.
